TRUTH
TO BE RECEIVED
|
| 1.
That the only true God is He Who was revealed to Abraham, Isaac
and Jacob, by angelic visitation and vision, and to Moses at
the flaming bush (unconsumed) and at Sinai, and Who manifested
Himself in the Lord Jesus Christ, as the supreme self-existent
Deity, the ONE FATHER, dwelling in unapproachable light, yet
everywhere present by His Spirit, which is a unity with His
person in Heaven. He hath, out of His own underived energy,
created heaven and earth, and all that in them is.

- ISA 40:13-25
- Who hath directed
the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught
him? With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him,
and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge,
and shewed to him the way of understanding? Behold, the
nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the
small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles
as a very little thing. And Lebanon is not sufficient to
burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.
All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted
to him less than nothing, and vanity. To whom then will
ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?
The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth
it over with gold, and casteth silver chains. He that is
so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree
that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman
to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved. Have
ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you
from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations
of the earth? It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the
earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers;
that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth
them out as a tent to dwell in: That bringeth the princes
to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.
Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown:
yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he
shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the
whirlwind shall take them away as stubble. To whom then
will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.
- ISA 43:10-12
- Ye are my witnesses,
saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that
ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he:
before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be
after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is
no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have
shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore
ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.
- ISA 44:6-8
- Thus saith the
LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts;
I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is
no God. And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it,
and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient
people? and the things that are coming, and shall come,
let them shew unto them. Fear ye not, neither be afraid:
have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it?
ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea,
there is no God; I know not any.
- ISA 45:5
- I am the LORD,
and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded
thee, though thou hast not known me:
- ISA 46:9-10
- Remember the
former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else;
I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from
the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are
not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will
do all my pleasure:
- JOB 38:1-41
- Then the LORD
answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, Who is this
that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? Gird
up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee,
and answer thou me. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations
of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath
laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath
stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations
thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of
God shouted for joy? Or who shut up the sea with doors,
when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?
When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness
a swaddlingband for it, And brake up for it my decreed place,
and set bars and doors, And said, Hitherto shalt thou come,
but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?
Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused
the dayspring to know his place; That it might take hold
of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken
out of it? It is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand
as a garment. And from the wicked their light is withholden,
and the high arm shall be broken. Hast thou entered into
the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search
of the depth? Have the gates of death been opened unto thee?
or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death? Hast
thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou
knowest it all. Where is the way where light dwelleth? and
as for darkness, where is the place thereof, That thou shouldest
take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know
the paths to the house thereof? Knowest thou it, because
thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is
great? Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow?
or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, Which I have
reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of
battle and war? By what way is the light parted, which scattereth
the east wind upon the earth? Who hath divided a watercourse
for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning
of thunder; To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man
is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man; To satisfy
the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the
tender herb to spring forth? Hath the rain a father? or
who hath begotten the drops of dew? Out of whose womb came
the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered
it? The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of
the deep is frozen. Canst thou bind the sweet influences
of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? Canst thou bring
forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus
with his sons? Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst
thou set the dominion thereof in the earth? Canst thou lift
up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may
cover thee? Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go
and say unto thee, Here we are? Who hath put wisdom in the
inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?
Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the
bottles of heaven, When the dust groweth into hardness,
and the clods cleave fast together? Wilt thou hunt the prey
for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions, When
they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie
in wait? Who provideth for the raven his food? when his
young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.
- JOB 39:1-30
- Knowest thou
the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or
canst thou mark when the hinds do calve? Canst thou number
the months that they fulfil? or knowest thou the time when
they bring forth? They bow themselves, they bring forth
their young ones, they cast out their sorrows. Their young
ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go
forth, and return not unto them. Who hath sent out the wild
ass free? or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass?
Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land
his dwellings. He scorneth the multitude of the city, neither
regardeth he the crying of the driver. The range of the
mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green
thing. Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide
by thy crib? Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in
the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee? Wilt
thou trust him, because his strength is great? or wilt thou
leave thy labour to him? Wilt thou believe him, that he
will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy barn? Gavest
thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers
unto the ostrich? Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and
warmeth them in dust, And forgetteth that the foot may crush
them, or that the wild beast may break them. She is hardened
against her young ones, as though they were not her's: her
labour is in vain without fear; Because God hath deprived
her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding.
What time she lifteth up herself on high, she scorneth the
horse and his rider. Hast thou given the horse strength?
hast thou clothed his neck with thunder? Canst thou make
him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is
terrible. He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his
strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men. He mocketh
at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back
from the sword. The quiver rattleth against him, the glittering
spear and the shield. He swalloweth the ground with fierceness
and rage: neither believeth he that it is the sound of the
trumpet. He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth
the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the
shouting. Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch her
wings toward the south? Doth the eagle mount up at thy command,
and make her nest on high? She dwelleth and abideth on the
rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the strong place. From
thence she seeketh the prey, and her eyes behold afar off.
Her young ones also suck up blood: and where the slain are,
there is she.
- JOB 40:1-24
- Moreover the
LORD answered Job, and said, Shall he that contendeth with
the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him
answer it. Then Job answered the LORD, and said, Behold,
I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand
upon my mouth. Once have I spoken; but I will not answer:
yea, twice; but I will proceed no further. Then answered
the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said, Gird up
thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare
thou unto me. Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt
thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous? Hast thou
an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like
him? Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array
thyself with glory and beauty. Cast abroad the rage of thy
wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him.
Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and
tread down the wicked in their place. Hide them in the dust
together; and bind their faces in secret. Then will I also
confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.
Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass
as an ox. Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his
force is in the navel of his belly. He moveth his tail like
a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like
bars of iron. He is the chief of the ways of God: he that
made him can make his sword to approach unto him. Surely
the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts
of the field play. He lieth under the shady trees, in the
covert of the reed, and fens. The shady trees cover him
with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him
about. Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not:
he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth. He
taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.
- DEU 6:1-4
- Now these are
the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which
the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might
do them in the land whither ye go to possess it: That thou
mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes
and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy
son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that
thy days may be prolonged. Hear therefore, O Israel, and
observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that
ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers
hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and
honey. Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
- MAR 12:29-32
- And Jesus answered
him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel;
The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord
thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with
all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first
commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt
love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment
greater than these. And the scribe said unto him, Well,
Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God;
and there is none other but he:
- 1CO 8:4-6
- As concerning
therefore the eating of those things that are offered in
sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in
the world, and that there is none other God but one. For
though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven
or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But
to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all
things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom
are all things, and we by him.
- EPH 4:6
- One God and Father
of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
- 1TI 2:5
- For there is
one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ
Jesus;
- NEH 9:6
- Thou, even thou,
art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens,
with all their host, the earth, and all things that are
therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest
them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
- JOB 26:13
- By his spirit
he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the
crooked serpent.
- PSA 124:8
- Our help is in
the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
- PSA 146:6
- Which made heaven,
and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth
truth for ever:
- PSA 148:5
- Let them praise
the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.
- ISA 40:25-27
- To whom then
will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.
Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these
things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth
them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that
he is strong in power; not one faileth. Why sayest thou,
O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the
LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?
- JER 10:12-13
- He hath made
the earth by his power, he hath established the world by
his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters
in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from
the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and
bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.
- JER 27:5
- I have made the
earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by
my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given
it unto whom it seemed meet unto me.
- JER 32:17-25
- Ah Lord GOD!
behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great
power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard
for thee: Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and
recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom
of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God,
the LORD of hosts, is his name, Great in counsel, and mighty
in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the
sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and
according to the fruit of his doings: Which hast set signs
and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and
in Israel, and among other men; and hast made thee a name,
as at this day; And hast brought forth thy people Israel
out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and
with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with
great terror; And hast given them this land, which thou
didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing
with milk and honey; And they came in, and possessed it;
but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law;
they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them
to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come
upon them: Behold the mounts, they are come unto the city
to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans,
that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the
famine, and of the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken
is come to pass; and, thou seest it. And thou hast said
unto me, O Lord GOD, Buy thee the field for money, and take
witnesses; for the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.
- JER 51:15
- He hath made
the earth by his power, he hath established the world by
his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his understanding.
- ACT 14:15
- And saying, Sirs,
why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions
with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these
vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth,
and the sea, and all things that are therein:
- ACT 17:24
- God that made
the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord
of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
- 1CH 29:11-14
- Thine, O LORD
is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the
victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven
and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD,
and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and
honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in
thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to
make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore,
our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name. But
who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able
to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come
of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.
- PSA 62:11
- God hath spoken
once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto
God.

heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself
against him, and hath prospered?

number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.
Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding
is infinite.
- ISA 28:29

forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel,
and excellent in working.
- ROM 16:27
- To God only wise,
be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.
- 1TI 1:17
- Now unto the
King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be
honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
